February Finds

Antique and collectible lovers never miss the annual February Finds in Mt. Morris. More than 20 dealers will bring their best to the Moose Lodge on February 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, Wander the aisles and discover that perfect ‘find’ that you simply can’t live without.

Gotta’ Love It

Whether you love the game, the commercials, or the half-time show, celebrate all of it at the local pubs. Mullarkey’s Bar & Grill, and the Idle Hour are the places to be on Superbowl Sunday for the cheer, the drinks, the food, and the fun.

Bring your best dance moves for a Valentine Disco, February 13, 7 p.m. at the Mt. Morris Senior & Community Center. Their calendar is full of activities all month. Check their social and website for details.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with fun DIY craft kits for all ages, Feb. 9-14 at the Mt. Morris Public Library. Stay and assemble or grab and go. Bring your love and support of the Oregon High School Jazz Band for a free performance at the library on Sunday, February 15, at 2 p.m. The public is invited, and you don’t need a library card. Refreshments will be served after the performance.

Love of Learning

The Mt. Morris Historical Museum will be open on Saturday, February 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to discover our beginning from a prairie through the early years. See the work in progress. The museum is in College Hall, 16 S. Wesley Ave., on the campus uptown.

Want to learn how to grow microgreens? Register online or at the Mt. Morris Public Library for a free class on February 25, from 5:30 to 7:30, taught by the Ogle County Health Department at the library. Register soon — the class fills up quickly.
