Mt. Morris Jamboree – The Fortunate Sons
Mt. Morris will end the Jamboree concert season with a bang when The Fortunate Sons hit the stage on Friday, August 28. Using original vintage gear and instruments, accurate costumes, and spot-on musical ability, The Fortunate Sons instantly conjure up the full experience of seeing Creedence Clearwater Revival in their prime. You do not want to miss this performance.
There are some handicap accessible permanent benches and lots of green space for lawn chairs. Arrive early to get a good spot and sample the food scene, visit the art gallery or museum on campus, and shop the sidewalk vendors. The concerts are free, although donations are welcome.
Featured food: Local charitable organizations will sell food starting at 6 p.m. Just 4 Fun Ice Cream will provide sweet treats, and the MM Sr. and Community Center will sell popcorn. Food truck options vary from week to week.
