Christmas in the Village

Celebrate Christmas in the Village of Mt. Morris on Saturday, December 6, 2025. Free activities and celebrations for all ages, all day.

10:00 a.m. – noon, breakfast with Santa at the Mt. Morris Senior & Community Center, 9 E. Front St.

10:30 a.m. – noon, free DIY holiday crafts at the Mt. Morris Public Library, 105 S. McKendrie Ave.

Noon – 3:00 p.m., the Mt. Morris Historical Museum, 16 S. Wesley (in College Hall on the Village Square campus), is free and open to all visitors. Donations appreciated.

5 – 7 p.m. Lighted Christmas Parade to join or watch. To participate, light up your vehicle and line up in front of the old David L Rahn school building (105 W Brayton Rd.) at 4:45. Santa will lead the parade on the normal Let Freedom Ring parade route (East on Brayton to Ogle, North on Ogle to Main, West on Main to Wesley Ave.). The parade will end at the campus, where Santa will meet with kids. Every child visiting Santa gets a free book, courtesy of the Mt. Morris Library Foundation. Hot chocolate and activities sponsored by the Let Freedom Ring committee.
