Pick your sport or playground equipment, bring a picnic, or just relax in the parks of Mt. Morris: Dillehay, Zickuhr, Palmer Memorial, and Mounder Park.
You’ll find lush woodlands, river bluffs and valleys, waterways and native grasslands in the parks and recreation areas within minutes of Mt. Morris. Here’s a list.

Come for a night of great music, great food, a silent auction, and chances to win a trip to Las Vegas, Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox tickets, and more. The Mt. Morris Moose Family Center is hosting a fundraiser for our July 4th Let Freedom Ring festival on May 9, starting at 4 p.m.
Learn Something New
Mocktails for everyone! Learn how to make fun, delicious mocktails on May 12 at the Mt. Morris Public Library. Register at the library or online here. And if you want to learn the best tips and tricks for a terrific trip, attend the library’s free Travel Planning Class on May 17. Bring your questions and stay for snacks afterward.
The Mt. Morris Senior and Community Center is hosting Fur Real Companionship on May 14 about the benefits of our furry friends, presented by the University of Illinois. Contact The Center if interested. That’s just one of many public classes, activities, and events on their calendar.
Tour the art and architecture of downtown Chicago, courtesy of Encore Mt. Morris. Register by May 18 for the June 4 Chicago Art & Architecture chartered bus tour.
