The Planning Commission administers Village zoning, ordinances, subdivision regulations, and land development within the Village limits. They work with the Village building inspector, attorney, and other officials to resolve issues, then refer decisions to the Village Board for action. The Planning Commission also reviews the Village of Mt. Morris Comprehensive Plan 2035 and works with stakeholders to ensure it is viable and on target, proposing revisions to the Village Board as needed.
Meetings are held the first Monday of the month at 6:45 p.m. in the Village Board Room at City Hall, 105 W. Lincoln, Mt. Morris, Illinois, and are open to the public.
