October is the perfect time to enjoy crisp autumn temps and vibrant changing colors in Mt. Morris.

October is the perfect time to enjoy crisp autumn temps and vibrant changing colors in Mt. Morris. Join our fall celebration at the Family Fall Festival on the Village campus, Sunday, October 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. Wander the craft show and penny carnival while sipping hot chocolate. Pull out your best Halloween or seasonal costume and enter the costume parade. Enter a creative jack-o’-lantern in the Pumpkin Carving Contest, open to all ages. Pumpkin Contest details are on the Village calendar here.

The Let Freedom Ring (LFR) Committee will host this Family Fall Festival and sell hot chocolate and chili. Kids will love an early Halloween “Trunk or Treat” by the Mt. Morris Evangelical Free Church. Bring friends and family for a fun fall afternoon on the campus.

We expect a beautiful day, but if it rains, the fun will move to the Mt. Morris Senior and Community Center down the block.

Encore Mt. Morris is also celebrating autumn and the back-to-school spirit with art classes, held at the Mt. Morris Senior and Community Center. Learn the basics of watercolor painting on October 12, or printmaking on October 14. Learn advanced watercolor mixing and blending on October 26. Encore! and Highland Community College are partnering to offer this opportunity. Details and registration at encoremtmorris.com.
