Art! All Summer
Ready. Set. Create! This summer has the hottest art projects for students, and the coolest art shows for everyone at the new Encore Art Gallery.
Encore’s artist in residence, Hannah Beach, will coordinate art projects for second graders through high schoolers in June and July. Elementary students will create painted t-shirts, botanical prints, woven items, triangle murals, and painted stepping stones. Middle-schoolers will learn how to draw amazing 3-D sidewalk murals. High schoolers will create a large outdoor archway mural, among other projects.
The cost is just $5 per week, thanks to funding by 100 Women Who Care. All supplies provided.
Sign up now! Classes start June 17 and continue through July. Details and the online registration form are on the Encore Mt. Morris website. Or, register at the Village Hall.
Culture Has a New Home
The Encore Art Gallery has relocated from the Old Sandstone Building to a new and vibrant space at College Hall, 16 S. Wesley (the former Kable News building). The art gallery will now share space with the Mt. Morris Historical Museum, creating a dynamic hub of arts and heritage.
The museum and art gallery are open during Wednesday and Friday night concerts in June and July; and Friday and Saturday night concerts in August.
